Blessings

The past couple of weeks we have been getting the yard ready for spring. I even got to use the tiller! We decided to build some raised garden boxes, trying to get more produce and make the yard look nice too. (Mark had shoulder surgery at the beginning of March, so he can't do any of the yard work this year...was that on purpose? LOL) Really it is driving him nuts to watch me working in the yard. The end of March, Jesse (our son) came over to help us build the boxes. He did all the heavy work, then after they where build, he just lifted them up and carried them to their new home. (I would have had to build them in the dirt, where their residing place is.) We got double the blessing that day, Jesse came to help build the boxes and brought his kids with him. So we got to play with grandkids and get a project done.

Then we got a dump truck load of top soil. That is a lot of dirt! We took the day off, so I could start moving the dirt, which was fun I might add. LOL The Bishop said that the youth in the ward needed a service project, and they would be over on that night to help. I love to give service, but, it is not always easy to let others give you service. But, I tell you...they had half of the drit moved in about 30 minutes. It took my almost 3 hours to move what I moved. I have to tell you the best thing. I was shoveling a wheel barrow full, and one of the young men came up to me when he got there and said, "Sister Romrell, I can do that you." It still gives me a lump in my throat. We have great kids in our ward, that are willing to help others. After they left our hsoue they went to 2 other homes in the ward to help with their yard projects.
