Scott & Blajyn, August 1, 2010

On our fast trip to Southern Utah, we stopped to see Scott's new house. They are renting, but, it is a really nice house. And Blajyn loves it. But, then he pretty much loves wherever they are. As long as he is with his Dad & Mom. He is such a cute kid. Love him lots! Blajyn asked me if I wanted to see his trick he does on his bike. Well sure I do! Then I was thinking you are way to brave. Check him out!!

We took lots of pictures of the split rock that has lots of Petroglyph's on it. There it is in the middle of the subdivision. Amazing! Southern Utah is full of things like this. No wonder people love it there.

Scott pointing out some of the cool ones to me.
Blajyn showing Grandpa some cool stuff.

Blajyn and Grandma. That is the split rock with all the Petroglyph's on it. Amazing!!
This stop completed our weekend trip. It was the best weekend ever. We were spiritually feed, then we got to go and see all our kids and most of the grandkids. Is there anything better?

Addie & Grandma. Clay and Jake...got to love that smile!

Cora trying to catch a moth - July 31, 2010

Cora sees a moth flying around the light and decides that she needs to catch it. It was pretty cute to watch her. There is not way I would even try to catch one, I would just ask Mark to get it for me. I don't like things like that. I am really glad that my Grandkids are a lot braver than their Grandma. LOL

What a sweetheart!!!

Clay's Baptism - Jake's Birthday July 31, 2010

We traveled from Rexburg Idaho to Kanab, stopping in Salt Lake for a few minutes. So, we could be in Kanab for Clay's baptism. His Dad baptised him.
That day in Kanab they had some pretty heavy thunderstorms, and some of their firends got flooded. MaryAnn took her kids out in the morning and early afternoon to help dig people out. At the baptism, the member of Bishopric introduced Clay, and thanked him for all his hard work today...he had helped to dig him out that day. And said how the Shakespear family was always there to help people out. And they are. Love them lots!

Clay and his Dad (Bryant) ready to go to the church.

All dressed in their whites, ready for the Baptism. Dad, Clay and Mom. I am so happy for Clay and his disicision to be Baptised. What a great kid!

Now we are celebrating Jake's 10th brithday. Can't believe that he is that old already! What a neat young man he is turning out to be. Always willing to help you out!

I think that Jake was trying to just blow out the candles himself. And Cora wanted to help out.

BYU/Idaho - July 2010

I went to BYU/Idaho last year with my cousin Susan. It was so much fun, and so spiritully uplifting that I knew Mark should come with me this year. We had so much fun, and learned so much. I keep trying to decide which class was my favorite...they are all my favorites. This is weird to say, but, I was worried about Mark falling asleep in the classes, cuz, he is always falling asleep at church. He was wide awake in every class! We even went to the passover dinner on Friday night.

Our room, Mark took the mattress off the bed, they are bunk beds and not so easy to get to the top. The next night, my mattress was on the floor too. LOL

Self portrait, between classes in the garden. We loved every minute of our little mini vacation, that we where spiritually feed.
I was really nervous about going this year. It was last year while I was gone that my sister Teresa passed away. And this year when I left, my brother Alan was very sick.
We didn't stay for the Saturday classes this year, we left for Kanab at 4:30 am...Clay was getting baptized that evening. We could not miss that. And it was Jake's birthday too.
We stopped on the way to Education week to see Jesse in Idaho and Mark's Aunt Ara. We got to see all our kids in a weekend. What a trip!

Addie's date with Mom & Grandma July 2010

MaryAnn & Bryant came up for an appointment and spent a couple of days with us. She has the kids doing chores around the house, and if they do everything, they can earn a date with Mom or Dad. Addie had earned a date with Mom. So, they decided to do that while in SL this time. And Addie asked if I could go on the date with them. I was honored to be able to do that with them. Addie is a pretty special little girl. Always wants to help out. Love ya sweetheart!!
Addie and Grandma...then you just have to love the 'self portraits'....

Addie eating that delicious icecream from Letherby's.

Our chickens - July 2010

Just wanted to show the chickens. They love to get out everyday and wander around back yard. They love the corn patch...They will be really sad when we harvest it and take down their hiding place. The corn is as tall as the fence now.
