Utah County Fair Dutch Oven Cook-off, Aug 21, 2010

We love to do the Dutch Oven cook-offs together! We have fun cooking with each other, and we have fun with our Dutch oven friends. And it always fun if you win a prize or 2. LOL We actually took 1st place in this cook-off, so it qualified us to cook in the World Dutch Oven cook-off in March 2011. Our menu was, Beef Wellington, Garlic Herb rolls and a Lemon Tart. Everything has to be prepared at the cook-off, and you have 4 hours to get everything cooked and presented to the judges.
You have to decorate your table with something fun. And talk to the public as they come around and get them excited about Dutch Oven cooking. We always set out some candy for the public, they stop and get a piece of candy and talk to you for a minute.

Pictures of the Beef Wellington, and the Lemon Tart. Someone asked me if we had pictures of the food we cooked at cook-offs. I had to laugh and said, "Oh ya, we do."

This is a picture of us with the grand prize. We also took People's choice, Best Main and Best Bread. It was pretty cool. It is just so much fun to cook with your best friend!
